MORE than a thousand homes in Flintshire were without power this morning.
Around 1200 homes in the Hope and Penyffordd areas endured the cut that left them without electricity.
A spokesman for Scottish Power, who supply the homes, said: "There was a cable fault at 5.30am this morning in the Hope area.
"There was in the region of 1200 customers affected. Around 1000 had power again by 6.40am and the rest had theirs back by 8.50am.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
