SCHOOLS were closed, villages cut off and roads thrown into chaos as freezing weather tightened its grip on Flintshire.
Forecasters are predicting more to come as the shivering county braces itself for further plunges in temperatures.
Yesterday, many schools were closed, with some set to remain shut today.
There were also fears over salt levels at the county's main gritting depots.
