Families flocked to Queensferry Primary School’s Fete to enjoy a variety of activities and stalls.

The fete returned this year, jam-packed with fun for pupils, parents and teachers.

Families enjoyed a penalty shoot out, an ice-cream van, a soak the teacher stall, a treasure hunt, guess how many balloons in the mini game and many more.

The North Wales Police and Fire services attended for students to take pictures in the fire engine and police car.

The Primary School is raising the funds to buy well-needed resources for the pupils.

The school raised a total of £563 and the figure is set to rise once their ‘Summer Hamper Raffle’ finishes.

The prize for the raffle will be a hamper filled with all the necessities a family may need on a summer day. It will include water balloons, bubble blowers, baton balls, a box of Prosecco and much more.

Sheree Gregory, deputy headteacher, said: “The fete was really successful and I am happy from the outcome of support.

“The fete is a great opportunity to engage with the community and raise funds for the needed resources at our school. It’s nice to show the community our school spirit.

She added: “Thank you to the community and parents for the continued support and thank you to North Wales Police and Fire Service for attending.”
