A government minister visited the Port of Mostyn ahead of next week’s General Election.
Chris Grayling, Secretary of State for Transport, viewed the work carried out to modernise the port into one of the most important for the offshore renewable energy sector.
He was joined by Delyn’s Conservative candidate Matt Wright.
Mr Grayling said: “The Port of Mostyn is a great example of the potential for growth here in North Wales.
“And that’s why this election is so important. We have to get the right deal in place following Brexit negotiations, so we can continue to build a global trading nation, bringing more jobs and more opportunities to the people of North Wales.”
Mr Wright said: “I was delighted to see the extensive facilities to service the offshore wind farms and it was particularly pleasing as I well remember the discussions with managing director Jim O’Toole when the idea to develop the docks were still just an ambitious idea.”
