THE grim discovery of the emaciated body of a dead dog in a large plastic bag has sparked an RSPCA appeal for information. A member of the public notified the RSPCA after making the sad discovery at Llangwyfan forest, near Nannerch. The boxer crossbreed brindle-coloured dog was found in a red chequered plastic bag wrapped in a blanket and wearing a black collar. RSPCA inspectors Fred Armstrong and Rachael Davies attended the scene and are now hoping to establish what happened. Inspector Armstrong said: “This dog was very emaciated and had bones protruding.“The dog was microchipped but the address details were out of date. "The microchip recorded the dog’s name as Solomon. “We are now appealing for information to try and find out what happened to this dog.” Anyone who has any information about the dog is asked to call the RSPCA's inspectorate line on 03001 238018. Calls are treated in confidence.
