A folk club has raised hundreds of pounds for the Wales Air Ambulance thanks to a charity night.
The Mucky Duck Club raised £650 following a charity night, held at the Ewloe Social Club.
Members of the club, which previously met at St Mary’s Catholic Club in Flint before it closed down, donated prizes for a raffle, with further donations also being provided.
Resident folk group the Celtic Notes decided that the Wales Air Ambulance should be supported.
Patrick Nigle, from the group, said: “We feel it’s a great charity to support and its services are needed ever more so at the moment.
“Recently the helicopter has assisted in quite a few calls in the Flintshire area, and we hope this cheque for £650 will go some way to help.”
The Folk Club meets every Monday at Ewloe Social club starting at 8pm.
