CONCERNED residents can ask questions about child sexual exploitation later today in a live question and answer session.

North Wales Police detective superintendent Jo Williams, who heads the Protection of Vulnerable People Unit, Meinir Williams-Jones, assistant director of Barnardo’s Cymru and Lynda Collier from Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board will be available via the NWP website for residents to pose questions on the subject between 5pm and 6pm.

The session is being held in the run up to the national Child Sexual Exploitation Awareness Day this Friday and as part of the force’s continuing drive to raise awareness of the crime.

“Ensuring children are safe should be everyone’s responsibility,” said Det Sgt Williams. “The live Q&A will give parents, carers, professionals, young people and others who want to know more the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the various agencies people can turn to for help.

“Some may want to find out more about how to keep children safe online, or about the possible signs of CSE. If so, we would welcome questions from them.”

The link will open for questions shortly before the live webchat start time of 5pm.
