A MAN suffered serious head injuries after a crash in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
He was one of three people taken to hospital after the crash on Ffrwd Road, Cefn y Bedd, shortly after 3am yesterday.
Firefighters had to use cutting equipment to free the three casualties.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called at 3.15am, a spokesman said.
The Welsh Ambulance Service sent two ambulances and one duty officer to the scene after it was called at 3.04am.
"The casualties were taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital - a male in his 30s with serious head injuries, a female in her 20s with minor inuries and a male in his 20s also with minor injuries,” a spokesman said.
