COMPANION Care Vets, based inside Pets at Home on Wrexham's Border Retail Park, celebrates its first birthday on Saturday, April 26.

To mark the occasion it is putting out the bunting and inviting Wrexham’s pets and owners to fluff up their tail feathers or fur, put on their best party collars and join in the festivities.

The veterinary team at Companion Care will be giving behind the scenes tours of the clinic, giving an insight into the working day of a busy modern purpose built veterinary surgery.

Also there will be free pet micro chipping, free vaccinations for dogs, cats and rabbits - limited numbers so first come first served on the day - a children’s colouring competition, and a raffle for the Cats Protection League.

There will a party tea on offer with treats and cake for pets and owners alike.

On reaching the one milestone veterinary surgeon and partner Rebecca Hughes said: "It’s amazing how quickly the year which has been both exciting and memorable, has passed.

This year we have treated all types of pets and conditions from dogs to lizards, broken bones to routine vaccinations, and I would like to thank all our patients and owners who have come to see us."

Looking to the future, Rebecca hopes that both she and rest of her qualified veterinary team, who have over 50 years of veterinary practice between them, will continue to provide reasonable high quality veterinary care to Wrexham’s pets for many years to come and that this is the first of numerous birthdays.

If you would like any more information on the open day contact the surgery in opening hours on 01978 352499.
