Kevin Wilkin got one over his former club as Wrexham beat Nuneaton 3-0 at The Racecourse.

Having left Nuneaton to join Wrexham last month, Wilkin was celebrating his second win in a row as Reds' boss.

Wrexham had the better of the first half but were unable to take any of the chances that came their way.

Both teams came close to breaking the deadlock following an entertaining start to the second period and Wrexham made it 1-0 in the 54th minute.

Mark Carrington's drive was blocked by keeper James Belshaw and top scorer Johnny Hunt netted with his follow-up.

Wrexham doubled their advantage after 70 minutes, Neil Ashton crossed from the left and Andy Bishop found the net with a close range volley.

The third goal arrived in the 90th minute. substitute Bradley Reid was tripped in the area and Neil Ashton scored after his penalty was saved by Belshaw.
