A WINNER has been announced in a photography competition run by Shrewsbury Tourism Association.
Hilary Burke, a Shrewsbury resident, took the top spot for her stunning distorted wide-angle shot of Milk Street.
Directors of the tourism association said they were delighted with the response to the competition.
Chairman Michael Connor said: “There have been more than 100 entries and they have been diverse in their content.”
Hilary received two tickets for this year’s Shrewsbury Flower Show donated by the Shropshire Horticultural Society for her work.
The three runners up were Barbara Gilbert, Robert Gwilliam and Sam Westley who received prizes thanks to Write Here, Pengwern Books and John Butterworth.
Shrewsbury Tourism Association is hoping to use the images in its visitor productions and on the website at www.visitshrewsbury.com.
