TRIBUTES have been paid to a Farndon man found dead at his home.
Cheshire Police said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the discovery on Monday of 60-year-old Geoff Hayto, of The Crofts.
Gamekeeper Mr Hayto was a popular customer at the Farndon pub, where owner Peter Dickinson described him as “a real gentleman”.
He said: “He would like to sit by the fire, enjoying a pint of Guinness and have a chat with people, sharing stories about his life as a gamekeeper. He would also come regularly for Sunday lunch and dine with friends. He was such a lovely man who will be very sadly missed."
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said a file on Mr Hayto’s death was being prepared for the coroner.
