A SHREWSBURY-based media company is celebrating 15,000 hits on its latest music video.
Surface Rush filmed Club of Rome for indie-rock band The Cads which entered the YouTube Daily Top 100 Views Chart upon release and went on to be broadcast across European television channels.
The high-definition video was filmed over a three-day period and combines the band playing in the Shropshire countryside with a still-image montage.
Surface Rush creative director Ben King said: “It was an immense pleasure working with The Cads.
“They have toured with some great acts and were recently interviewed on BBC Radio 1 regarding the song.
“We were very flattered when they said they wanted to work with us. We ended up taking over 4,000 still images that were then all individually edited and coloured.
“It was a lot of hard work but we are really pleased with the reaction from everyone.”
The newly formed company was set up by Ben and lead developer, Chris King, who added: “I think people are liking our creative approach.
“Commercial video doesn’t have to feature cheesy text effects and glaring colour filters to look good, and with the growing importance of video content online, there’s never been a better time to make a video that stands out from the crowd.”
Surface Rush is currently developing mobile phone applications for iPhone, BlackBerry and other smartphones to be launched later this year.
