A CARETAKER who leapt out of a plane at 10,000ft has raised hundreds of pounds for charity.
Brave Kevin Goss, from Frankwell, completed a parachute jump on his 35th birthday and raised £1,300 for Air Ambulance.
The 35-year-old, who works at the Market Hall in Shrewsbury, originally hoped to raise £1,000 for Air Ambulance by taking part in the tandem skydive at Tilstock Airfield, Whitchurch.
He said: “The skydive was amazing, I loved it.
“We jumped at 10,000ft, then free-fell five thousand feet before catching an uplift back to 10,000ft again.I would do it again no question, I’ve already got plans to do a solo jump.
“I’d like to thank everyone who sponsored me and helped me raise such a great amount for charity.”
Kate Gittins, site facilities manager at the Market Hall, added: “Kevin has raised a fantastic amount for the Air Ambulance and we are all very proud of him here at the Market, he’s a very brave man.”
