BRIGHT Owls, the new languages school at The Hive music and media centre in Shrewsbury, has had its official launch.

Bright Owls runs Spanish, French and Portuguese classes, as well as English as a Foreign Language, for children and adults.

It offers courses to suit a wide range of abilities and needs – whether for holidays, business, gap-year preparation for students, support for GCSE and A Levels or simply for fun.

During the launch there was live music from Julian Cattley and a fashion show with a flamboyantly international flavour.

Sangria was served and Spanish tapas bar Casa Naranjo provided an authentic paella.

The event was attended by the mayor and mayoress of Shrewsbury, Cllr Tony Durnell and his wife.

Marisa Fernández, Spanich tutor at Bright Owls, said: “Julie (Ball, French tutor) and I want to thank everybody for making this day so special.

“It’s a great honour to have been welcomed in such manner”.
