A NATIONAL pizza chain could open a takeaway in Wrexham town centre.
A planning application received by Wrexham Council requests permission to change the use of a ground floor unit at Regent House, in Regent Street, into a Papa John’s pizza takeaway and delivery.
The document also seeks permission to install a new shop front and customer entrance and an access ramp within the front elevation, as well as the installation of a flue and plant at the side.
A supporting document submitted with the plans states: “Our business is restricted to the preparation of pizza and ‘sides’ such as chicken wings and potato wedges.
“All products are designed to be oven-cooked and, consequently, the only cooking equipment employed in a Papa John’s outlet is a conveyor oven.”
The takeaway would create 10 full-time jobs and 10 part-time jobs.
It also states the shop would be open from 10am until 3am Monday to Saturday and 10am until midnight on Sundays and bank holidays.
Permission for one car parking space has also been requested as part of the development.
