Richmond Town 189 for 6, Sanderstead 111 for 7
While the weather was fine Bob Widdrington (52) and Don Taylor (57 not out) both played impressive innings in this Eve Surrey Championship game.
Although conditions deteriorated with rain increasing and games all around being abandoned, Town and Sanderstead decided to carry on and play to a finish.
The final result was a draw all too familiar to Town. Getting into a winning position and failing to shoot out the tail Town's second and third team games were abandoned at the tea break.
All Sunday games were washed out.
