MORE than 100 people enjoyed a fun day in support of a village cricket club.

Northop Hall Cricket Club hosted the fun day at their ground in Smithy Lane on Sunday afternoon.

About 150 people showed up to enjoy the raft of attractions on offer, which included a falconry display, donkey rides, a sack race and a classic car exhibition.

Club steward Simone Lusted said the turn out was “really good”. “The weather held out, which helped. We did have a little shower just as the falconry display started but it soon passed so that was good.”

Tickets for the event cost £1, with proceeds going directly to the club. Other attractions included a bouncy castle, tombola, hula hoop and crown green bowling.

And there was also a coconut shy, face-painting and bucking bronco rides, as well as an egg and spoon race, barbecue and tea and scone tent.
