BUDDING entrepreneurs are encouraged to attend a meeting of the Flintshire Enterprise Club in Queensferry.

Visitors will be able to find out what it takes to be an entrepreneur, how to come up with a good business idea and who might invest in businesses.

They can also discover how social media can help businesses and how to promote ideas with free information and advice from the Welsh Government’s business team and Flintshire's Communities First group.

Alongside the workshops, inspirational speakers are provided by organisations and further education colleges, including Coleg Cambria and Glyndwr University who also support the programme.

The club is free to attend and meets every fortnight between 10am and noon at the John Summers Community Campus, Chester Road East.

Cllr Derek Butler, cabinet member for economic development, said: “I would encourage anyone starting out in business, or thinking about doing so, to join the Flintshire Enterprise Club.

“It is a council priority to support people in business and employment and Communities First in Flintshire is working hard to meet that aim.”

The enterprise club is run by Communities First and supported by Flintshire Council.
