POLICE are asking for witnesses after a robbery on Deeside to come forward.

A couple were walking in Queensferry on Monday afternoon on the cycle path that runs between the Blue Bridge in Queensferry and the A494 flyover.

At about 3.30pm they became aware of three men who approached them and then stole items from them.
After taking the items the offenders ran off over the blue bridge towards Queensferry.
“Both victims were left unhurt but shocked by the incident,” said Detective Constable Colin Oare.
“Our inquiries are today continuing and as part of this work we are appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity of the Blue Bridge, Queensferry, or the cycle path which runs alongside the A494 at around the time of the incident to please contact us at Mold CID.

"It is possible that other people may have been using the same route at the time and have information which could assist us with our inquiries.

“Similarly, we are keen to hear from anyone with information relating to the offence to contact us on 101, quoting reference number R129482. Otherwise, individuals can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
