A TEENAGE beauty queen will be abseiling down a rock face this week to raise money for a children’s hospice.
Miss Teen Mold Ellie Davies-Cooke, 17, from Nercwys will make her decent down Devil’s Gorge at Loggerheads Country Park on.
All the money raised will go to Claire House Children's Hospice, the chosen charity for this year’s Miss Teen Great Britain.
Despite a few nerves, the Coleg Cambria student said she was looking forward to the 120ft descent.
“I’m really excited because I’ve never done anything like it before,” she said.
“And I like doing adventurous things.”
Contestants are asked to raise money for charity as part of the competition, and Ellie has already raised £100 for Claire House.
The teenager takes part in the grand finale of the beauty contest on August 31 at Blackpool’s Globe Theatre.
She’s now in the envious position of competing for not only the title of Miss Teen Great Britain but prizes including £1000, £500 to spend at The Dress Studio, a modelling portfolio, and an introduction to EKA Model Agency.
