AN annual walk is to take place in memory of a four-year-old boy who died in his sleep.

Harry’s Teddy Walk and Duck Race will be held on Sunday, June 29, to remember the life of Harry Jones, a former pupil at Borras Park Infants in Wrexham, who died in 2005.

Since then Harry’s friends and family have raised more than £38,000 for Hope House Hospice and the annual teddy hunt for toddlers and duck race will take place at Nant Mill Country Park, Coedpoeth.

There is also a three-mile circular sponsored walk taking place this year, which is free to take part in.

There is no minimum sponsorship required.

The teddy bear walk starts at noon before the duck race and teddy hunt goes on throughout the afternoon. Families are invited to bring a picnic along for the day.

Hope House’s fundraising manager, Rachel Jones, said: “We are very grateful to Harry’s family for their continued support.

“They have raised a huge sum of money for us and it is wonderful that the memory of Harry lives on in this way.

“This is sure to be a lovely fun family event and we are very much looking forward to it.”
