NEARLY 80 cannabis plants have been seized during a police raid.

A warrant was executed at about noon yesterday at a property on Dee Road in Connah’s Quay.

Police said while searching the property 79 plants were found.

No arrests had been made yesterday but three men are set to be interviewed by police in relation to the matter at a later date.

Sgt Sue Richards, of Deeside’s Neighbourhood policing team, said: “We executed a successful drugs warrant based on community intelligence we had received, and 79 plants have been recovered.”

She added: “I would like to encourage the public to come forward with any information they might have on such activities as this operation shows we will act upon intelligence received.”
