AN INTERNATIONAL motorsport has been launched in the region.
Shotton-based Pit Lane Reporter magazine, which will focus on the world of Formula One, Rally, Touring Cars, IndyCar and NASCAR, was launched at an event at House Bar, Chester.
Bosses hope its expansion will mean jobs created at its Deeside base.
The magazine, which is already on its third issue, will be available digitally for free, with the first issue having been viewed more than 29,000 times online.
Harry Tunnicliffe, the magazine’s operations director said: “We are ahead of targets now and this means that we can begin to bring in new staff earlier than expected.
We have a new member of staff joining us at our Shotton office on Monday and hope to add a few more in the coming months.”
Editor Phil Woods said: “Flintshire and the North Wales coast has a tradition of grass roots motor sport.
“It also has a generous pool of talent to help us expand.”
Mr Woods said initial figures indicated downloads for the magazine’s third edition appear to be 30 per cent higher than for issue two.
Flintshire Council’s deputy leader, Cllr Bernie Attridge said: “This is great for the local area, job creation is always positive news."
