CARERS are being invited to take part in an indoor skydive.
Wrexham Carers Service provide information and support to carers aged 18 and over across the county.
There are currently over 1,450 carers registered with the service and an increasing numbers of young adults aged 18-25 are coming forward to access many of the valuable services available.
Thanks to The Carers Trust and Comic Relief, Wrexham Carers Service has been able to offer a variety of exciting activities for these young adults.
The activities provide valuable respite away from their caring role and responsibilities, as well as giving them the opportunity to enjoy new experiences and meet peers of similar ages in similar situations.
The next planned activity is indoor sky diving followed by a meal on April 28. The cost for carers is £3 per person.
Terri Brown of Wrexham Carers Service said: “Caring affects many people from different walks of life covering all ages.
“The caring role can take many forms and for some it may be 24-hour care around the clock, while others may be juggling education, part time work or a full time career with caring responsibilities at home.
“They may be caring for a parent with a mental health condition, an elderly grandparent, a disabled sibling or a child of their own with a chronic health condition. Whatever their caring role, Wrexham Carers Service can offer support to suit their needs.”
There are currently still places available for the sky dive.
