DOZENS of schools will close tomorrow as teachers walk out in an industrial dispute.
Teachers on both sides of the border are set to down tools in a row over pay and pensions.
Scores of schools across Flintshire and Wrexham will be affected, with a host of full and partial school closures.
By yesterday afternoon 32 schools were set to be affected.
In Flintshire 16 schools are set to fully close, with 16 partially closed. Fourteen schools will close across Wrexham, with one to partially shut.
The National Union of Teachers (NUT) are leading a national strike on in protest over teachers’ workload, performance related pay and changes to pensions.
NUT policy officer Owen Hathway said: “The strike is over changes to pay and pensions and it is accepted not all members will choose to strike.
“A message to parents would be we are fighting for the long term future and quality of education.”
l Darland High School in Rossett will be fully open to pupils and staff. It had previously been believed the school would be closed.

l Hawarden Village Church in Wales: One reception, year one, two and three classes to close.
l Ysgol Parc y Llan, Treuddyn: School open for nursery only.

l Ysgol y Waun, Gwernaffield: Closed to pupils in classes one, two and three, but open as usual for class four.
