A WREXHAM couple has appeared on a hit reality TV show.
Ian and Karen Morris from Hightown appeared on the Channel 4 show Coach Trip, a game show involving ordinary couples boarding a coach and travelling to foreign destinations.
Those on board must try to avoid elimination by getting voted off by their fellow travellers.
The show is presented by Brendan Sheerin who is the tour guide.
Mr Morris, 48, said the couple were given the opportunity after they had appeared on the ITV quiz show Eggheads.
He said: “The actual trip was in October last year, although the broadcast of the show has only just been aired.
“We joined the trip in Barcelona and continued on it for three days when we left the show in Valencia.
“We got to take part in a lot of activities with the other contestants including a bungee jump and paella creations.”
Ian and Karen, both international pistol shooters with the Wales Airgun team, joined the trip on days 19 to 21 and were booted off by their competitors in Monday’s episode.
Couples are voted off after they receive two yellow cards, which add up to a red.
“There had been a lot of arguments before we joined the coach and I think a lot of the competitors just didn’t want new people joining them,” said Ian.
“It really is bitching all the way. People only see 20 to 30 minutes of each day but once you are on the coach, you are together for 24-hours-a-day.
“To be honest, it is quite a strange experience but we had a great time and are really glad we did it.
“Brendan the tour guide is incredible. He is in real life exactly what he is like on the show – so flamboyant and happy.”
