A RESIDENT has berated the “imbeciles” who have smashed the windows of a bus shelter.
Former Flintshire councillor Klaus Armstrong-Braun says windows at the shelter, outside the Airbus factory on Chester Road, Broughton, appear to have been systematically smashed one-by-one in recent weeks,.
Mr Armstrong-Braun, who said the most recent attack was on Thursday, believes the vandalism is causing issues for people waiting for buses.
He said: “There are parents there with prams and they are getting cold and shivering because of it. They have been smashing one a week, I think the word for these people is imbeciles.
“These people might have children some time and how would they feel waiting for a bus with this having happened?”
On Friday, glass was still strewn across the ground around the shelter.
Mr Armstrong-Braun said it could be time to install shatter-proof glass to help prevent this sort of vandalism in future.
A spokesman for North Wales Police said anyone with information should call 101.
