A WREXHAM man appeared at a special weekend magistrates’ court charged with assaulting his former partner.
It is alleged he cut chunks out of her hair with a knife and that he head-butted her, punched her and threatened to kill her.
Nathan Roberts Edwards, 23, is also charged with sending his ‘ex’ a grossly menacing text message.
Edwards, of Australia Street in Ponciau, Wrexham, was remanded in custody to appear at Mold Crown Court at the end of the week.
He is charged that between January 1 and January 10 that, at his home in Australia Street, he assaulted a woman.
It is alleged that on January 26 he sent her a grossly menacing text message and that on January 29 that he destroyed a pane of glass in a garden shed at her home in Rhostyllen.
Prosecutor Huw Evans applied for a remand in custody at Flintshire magistrates’ court at Mold.
Defending solicitor Bethan Jones applied for bail but the application was rejected.
There was no indication of a plea at this stage.
