THE body of a woman has been found in Wrexham.
Police confirmed that at around 5.40pm yesterday, a 23-year-old woman, believed to be from outside the North Wales Area, was found unconscious at a location in Chester Road.
She was taken to hospital where, despite the actions of responding Police Officers and Paramedics, she was pronounced dead.
At the same time and location, a 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of the possession and supply of controlled drugs and will be interviewed later today at a local police station.
At this time North Wales Police are treating her death as ‘unexplained’.
The matter has been referred to HM Coroner.
The public toilets at the Waterworld car park in Wrexham remain cordoned off by police this morning.
A spokesman for Wrexham Council said: “This is a police matter and we will work with officers.”
