AROUND 140 jobs could be lost at Kellog's Wrexham plant.
The company made the announcement today, after starting a 90 day consultation with employees at the business.
In a statement, the company said they hoped the job losses could be achieved through early retirement and voluntary redundancies, but said all options would be considered before any changes were made.
Chris Hood, President of Kellogg Europe said: "We have a compelling business need to better align our assets with marketplace trends and customer requirements.
“To that end, we are taking action to ensure our manufacturing network is operating the right number of plants and production lines – in the right locations – to better meet current and future production needs and the evolving needs of our customers.”
The announcement is part of the company's recently announced multi-year Project K global growth and efficiency program.
