“ALL aboard the Santa Express.”
Santa made an extra special visit to Llangollen Station in the run up to Christmas for some festive train rides.
Making time in his busy schedule on Friday and today, Santa and his helpers are meeting children on a special steam ride from Llangollen through to Carrog, or Lapland as it was called.
Holly Evans, commercial administrator at the Llangollen Railway said: “People have really enjoyed themselves on these special trains.
“The children were all so excited when the elves came through the carriages and told them that Santa was on his way to see them.
“Santa spent a few minutes with every child, finding out what they wanted for Christmas as well as giving them an early Christmas present which they could open before the big day itself.”
When the train arrived in Lapland the children were able to walk in snow and have their picture taken with Santa in his sleigh.
Adults on the ride were treated to a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie from one of Santa’s helpers.
People are also being able to beat the Christmas blues onboard with a mince pie special.
From Boxing Day until New Year’s Day adults will receive a mince pie and a tipple. Children can also enjoy a treat and a drink.
Trains depart Llangollen Station at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.
