MOLD was festooned in a fabulous festive feel over the weekend.
Community leaders went to town in arranging a special event for Christmas that delighted visitors, offering something for everyone to enjoy.
The giant festive weekend was organised by Mold Town Council in consultation with Flintshire Council’s market section.
Among the long list of attractions on offer was a huge inflatable Father Christmas, standing about 30ft high, stalls, music, free entertainment, bucking reindeer and children’s rides.
Mold town councillor Geoff Collett said: “We want Mold to be a destination town, attracting shoppers to come here and enjoy the facilities.
“This was the first time we have held the festive weekend and it has been very successful.
“I hope it can become a regular fixture in the calendar.”
Cllr Collett also praised the hard work of Mold town manager Dave Hill in co-ordinating the event, adding Mr Hill had been the driving force behind the weekend.
