A PENSIONER was taken to hospital after he was pushed off his mobility scooter, say police.
The 78-year-old man was attacked by a youth in the alley between John Summers High School and Westminster Crescent in Shotton at 10.30am on Friday.
Police said the man, who is local to the area, was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital with minor injuries.
They are also appealing for witnesses and say the youth who targeted the man was wearing a black or navy coloured top.
Sgt Sue Richards wants to reassure the community that this was an isolated incident.
“It is a one off incident,” she said.
“The people of Shotton shouldn’t feel unsafe.
“We haven’t had anything else like this similar in the area.”
Anyone with information should call police on 101 quoting the reference number P199283.
