A MAN repeatedly headbutted the inside of a police vehicle after being arrested for drunk and disorderly behaviour.
Darren Thomas Price, of Glan Garth, Wrexham, was shouting and swearing on Town Hill in Wrexham town centre. He was warned by officers, who arrested him when he refused to calm down.
Price, 32, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place when he appeared at Wrexham Magistrates Court.
Justin Espie, prosecuting, told the court Price was given “ample opportunity” to calm down after being approached by officers on November 17.
Mr Espie added that once arrested, Price was seen by the officers “repeatedly headbutting the inside of the vehicle”, injuring himself in the process.
Euros Jones, defending, said Price wanted to apologise for his behaviour and that he was “embarrassed” by his actions.
District judge Andrew Shaw ordered him to pay a £60 fine, a victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £85.
