Llangollen man dies after crash in Penley

A MAN died after his vehicle left the road and crashed into a telegraph pole.

James Rigby, 39, from the Llangollen area, died after the black Land Rover Discovery he was driving crashed on the A539 road in Penley, Wrexham.

The crash happened at around 2pm on Sunday.

He was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital after the crash with serious injuries but died soon after.

A spokesman for North Wales Police said anyone with information about the crash should contact police on 101, or alternatively they can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
