REGARDING the controlled parking zone.
When it was first introduced we were led to believe that for a fee of £24 the council would clear our streets of outsiders using our streets as car parks.
Not only is it failing to control the illegal parkers, it has the gall to increase the fee yet again to £50. Where will it end?
It seems us motorists have now become the whipping boys, not only for the Chancellor, but also for this council.
This is outrageous. The council should get its house in order and start collecting all the outstanding fines before exploiting the hard-pressed motorists to make up the shortfall.
