A WOMAN was taken to hospital after her car became stuck between a steel fence and a lamp-post in a supermarket car park.
The collision involving a silver Toyota Yaris happened just inches from a public footpath in the Asda car park on Holt Road, Wrexham, shortly after 11am on Saturday.
The car park was closed off by police for about half an hour and the area around the car cordoned off while the woman was freed as weekend shoppers looked on in shock.
Two fire engines from Wrexham attended the scene to make the vehicle safe and to stabilise it.
On Twitter, the Wrexham Greenwatch crew said: “Both crews have attended. Driver was released prior to our arrival. Crews made the scene safe.”
