A MAN charged with murder following an alleged stabbing at a pub in Wrexham will be tried next February.
The trial of Francisco John Prevete is expected to last three weeks but could run into a fourth week.
The judge conducting the trial will be Mrs Justice Nicola Davies.
Mr Justice Griffith-Williams, sitting at Mold Crown Court yesterday, said he had hoped to fix the trial before Christmas but that was not possible.
It would therefore be fixed to start on February 3.
A further pre-trial review will take place in December.
Prevete, 45, of Weale Court, Wrexham, is charged with the murder of Craig Harold Maddocks.
Mr Maddocks, 34, from Llay, was pronounced dead at the scene after police were called to the Cambrian Vaults pub in the early hours one day in June.
The defendant has not yet formally entered a plea.
