HUNDREDS of people enjoyed the chance to take part in an autumnal morning run yesterday.
The event which generated so much keen interest was the Erddig 10km, which also featured five-kilometre and two kilometre fun run routes.
Set against the beautiful backdrop of the National Trust’s Erddig estate, the event proved to be an outstanding success.
It was arranged by Brymbo-based Expedition Wise, which specialises in organising charity challenge events and director Brian Jackson said he was delighted at the response from members of the public.
“We had 200 people taking part, which was our maximum limit so we were full up,” said Mr Jackson
“The atmosphere was absolutely brilliant with lots of families coming. Before the race got under way we had a warm up session which was taken by the DW Sports Fitness gym in Wrexham.”
Mr Jackson added he would like to thank everyone involved for their contribution in making the event such an enjoyable occasion.
