SEVEN men were arrested after a substantial quantity of cocaine and cash was found near Wrexham yesterday morning.
They were arrested in connection with conspiracy to supply class A controlled drugs after search warrants were executed by North Wales Police in Cefn Mawr and several other areas of Wrexham, and in Liverpool.
In addition, 20 vehicles were seized.
Six local men and one man from Liverpool were detained pending questioning by police officers.
A police presence has been maintained at the locations, while a comprehensive and methodical search is undertaken.
Det Insp Dave Spencer, said: "This was an intelligence led operation and was conducted as part of our on-going effort to tackle drugs supply and organised crime to make North Wales safer.”
He added: “We urge anyone with information regarding the activity in Cefn Mawr area, or anyone involved with any illegal drugs use to contact North Wales Police on 101 or alternatively via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
