A FLOPPY-eared bunny given the name Satan because of its aggressive nature has been blessed at a Flintshire church.
The ceremony took place at St Mary’s and St Peter’s Church in Bagillt.
A group of 18 pet lovers, along with nine dogs, were also present for the church’s first-ever pet blessing service.
Satan’s owner, Vivienne Hills, said: “She came to us with the name Satan because of her aggressive nature towards humans in her early years.
“She is not like that any more. Now an old lady of six, Satan is mellowing and enjoying attention.
“Everyone was laughing when they heard the name.
“It is not very often you get a Satan in church.”
The event was organised and led by the Rev John Geary.
A collection during the event also raised £30 which will be donated to North Clwyd Animal Rescue.
Mrs Hills added: “All owners and pets received a blessing at the end of the service.”
She also thanked everyone who supported the event, which the church is hoping to host annually.
