A WOMAN was found to be three times the drink-drive limit in the morning.
Police stopped Carol Bonos, 46, because she was driving so slowly.
It turned out she had 101 microgrammes of alcohol in her breath compared with the legal limit of 35.
At Flintshire Magistrates Court she was banned from driving for two years. She was placed on a 12-month community order and told to carry out 80 hours’unpaid work.
Bonos was also ordered to pay £145 in costs.
Phillip Lloyd Jones, defending, said his client had a history of issues with alcohol but abstained for two years.
The previous night, however, she had been consoling a friend who was going through a divorce.
They both sat up drinking into the early hours.
Mr Lloyd Jones said his client would not have driven if she would have realised the reading was so high.
The court heard how Bonos, of Ffordd Dyfrdwy, Mostyn, was stopped on the A548 at Greenfield on August 8 and provided a positive breath test.
