ANIMALS have found new families after a plea for owners to come forward.
Last week’s Leader featured dogs urgently needing homes being cared for by Capricorn Animal Rescue Centre at Padeswood, near Mold.
And owner Sheila Stewart said since then, many people have visited the centre and lots of animals have been adopted.
“It’s been a great response,” she said. “And it’s not just the animals featured.
“Because of the feature, people have come to see what other animals we’ve got."
Suki, a Yorkie cross from a family of six the centre took in, has found a new owner and Sheila said she was also hopeful Charley, a brindle and white Staffie who had been at the centre since January, would soon be rehomed.
Kittens, cats and rabbits are also finding homes. “But they’re still coming in thick and fast,” said Sheila. “We’ve just had seven more rabbits come in, all with babies.
“We’ve got down to 51 rabbits now. That means we’re doing really well. We’re really pleased!”
