FOOD lovers are preparing to have their tastebuds tickled at an annual festival.
Mold Food and Drink Festival is taking place next month, with thousands of visitors expected to descend on the event to treat themselves to a range of culinary delights.
Celebrity chef Rosemary Shrager, who will be taking to the stage to give three cookery demonstrations, has expressed her excitement about the event.
The former star of Ladette to Lady and I’m a Celebrity, Get me out of Here!, said: “I think it’s going to be absolutely fabulous.
“I’m really looking forward to finding and tasting all the different foods from the area, it’s what I always look forward to at festivals like this.
“It’s what I always do when I go to a festival, I always go and find out if there’s anything I can use with my dishes.”
Visitors will be able to learn how to make the dishes while seeing a celebrity chef in action.
Rosemary said: “I’m going to keep it pretty simple, we don’t want it complicated.
“I’m doing three demonstrations and it’s really nice and simple.
“I’m really looking forward to it and hopefully the weather will stay nice for the whole thing.”
Rosemary’s demonstrations, on Sunday, September 22, will form the centrepiece of a jam-packed festival, with more than 100 stalls showcasing their products.
Celebrity chefs Graham Tinsley and Brian Mellor will also be giving demonstrations.
The festival will also stage the Flintshire Chef of the Year contest.
The competition is something Rosemary is keen to keep a close eye on.
She said: “I am looking forward to seeing what the up and coming chefs from the areas are doing and what they have to offer.”
The festival takes place over the weekend of Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22.
