CLASS A drugs were seized from a property in Wrexham in a sting operation yesterday.
More than a dozen officers descended on Crescent Close in Smithfield at 10am, using a battering ram to gain entry into three properties.
Drugs worth about £500 – including heroin and amphetamines – were seized from one property and three local men and one local woman were arrested on suspicion of possession of a drug with intent to supply.
Officers also executed warrants at two properties on Range Road in Hightown and three addresses at Y Wern in Caia Park, but no arrests were made.
The Leader was granted exclusive access during the swoop which was overseen by North Wales Police town inspector Mark Williams.
Insp Williams said: “We carried out a number of drugs warrants under Section 23 of the Misuse of the Drugs Act.
“We targeted three addresses on Crescent Close, two on Range Road in Hightown and three at Y Wern in Caia Park.
“Four people were arrested and are currently being questioned by police.”
Last night those arrested were still in police custody.
Investigations are continuing.
