THE organisers of a high octane motor show have confirmed the dates for this year’s show and claim it will be louder than ever.
This year’s Cholmondeley Pageant of Power (CPoP) will take place over the weekend of June 14-16, with the emphasis for this year’s event firmly placed on noise.
Now in its sixth year, the Pageant of Power takes place on the Cholmondeley Estate, near Malpas, and celebrates power and performance in its many forms.
This year’s event is set to feature a record number of supercars, race and rally cars, superbikes, helicopters and powerboats, as well as an awesome aerial display.
Organisers promise this year’s event will be more interactive than ever, allowing visitors to get up-close to the attractions and with noise a notable theme.
Visitors are encouraged to vote for their favourites in ‘noise-off’ battles between powerful machinery, classic and modern, from thunderous aero-engined cars to wailing Formula One racers.
In an offer to beat the expected bumper crowds, ‘early bird’ tickets are available to those who book before March 31, with 25 per cent off selected tickets.
Event director James Hall said: “The pageant is now a must-attend event for the region and each year it gets more and more popular with families and motor enthusiasts.
“By booking now visitors are able to take advantage of our early bird offer and can secure tickets for what promises to be one of the best and most action packed family days out of the year.”
Until the end of March, adult day tickets are available from £20 for the Friday, while visitors can experience the best of the Saturday and Sunday action for £26, with tickets costing £35 if bought on the day and under 16s tickets now available free of charge.
