A FED-up pensioner is calling for litterbugs to tidy up their act.
Michael Bulcock, 68, said the litter problem near his home on The Homestead in Wrexham has been getting worse.
Mr Bulcock believes the rubbish may be being left by students of the nearby Centre for Engineering and Construction on Bersham Road, which is run by Yale College.
Mr Bulcock said: “It’s general rubbish like cans and bottles, but it’s so unsightly.
“I walk across the land two or three times a week to get to town and it’s everywhere. It needs cleaning up.”
Yale College principal Jasbir Dhesi said: “Yale College is already working closely with the residents’ association in the area to resolve any concerns over litter and diligently monitor its own site and areas close to the college to ensure it is kept clean and tidy. In addition Yale College provides extra bins along some public footpaths near their Bersham Road campus which are emptied on a daily basis.
“We have an excellent relationship with our colleagues at Wrexham Council and the local residents’ association and I am confident that between us we will find a solution to any concerns.”
