A MAN was taken to hospital with head and neck injuries after a collision on a dual carriageway.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were called after two vehicles collided on the A55 westbound near Northop at about 2.15pm yesterday.
The crash involved an Iveco box van and a Volvo vehicle.
A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 2.15pm to a two-car road traffic collision on the A55 near Halkyn. We attended with two rapid response vehicles and an ambulance.
“A male in his 30s with head and back injuries was conveyed to Glan Clwyd Hospital.”
Traffic delays were reported following the crash.
A spokesman for North Wales Police said the collision took place near the Halkyn turn-off.
“There were reports of debris on the road and a lamp-post sustained damage,” said the spokesman. One lane was blocked following the collision.”
Fire crews from Holywell and Deeside also attended following reports people were trapped in the vehicles.
However, everybody had been released from the vehicles.
