SEX change reality TV star Luke Anderson is now head chef at the restaurant he opened when he was called Laura.
The Big Brother winner from Mold is back in his whites at the Pitcher and Piano in Chester.
But the 31-year-old has undergone a transformation since he started in the same role in 2008.
When he opened the eatery he was a man trapped in a woman’s body.
He has since undergone testosterone injections, surgery and changed his name.
“I opened it when I was Laura, so now I’m now revisiting it as Luke,” he said.
“It’s good to be back. I know the kitchen and although it’s new staff it’s still the same sort of ethos.”
Luke, who was named Flintshire Chef of the Year in 2010, said he missed the kitchen.
“There’s a lot of great memories and I love being back.
“Hopefully, I will be able to do specials boards and put my own signature dishes on,” he added.
Luke says he is now looking to move to Chester to be closer to work.
l An auction of a trophy Luke won in the Big Brother house raised £150 for charity.
Luke received the award along with rival contestant Luke S after they both voted for one another four times. It was sold at a ball at the Beaufort Park Hotel in New Brighton, Mold, where Luke was a former sous chef.
The money will go towards sponsorship for two women taking part in the Great Manchester Run.
Kelly Lullin, 31, of Broughton and Chloe Davies, 20, of Leeswood, Mold, are running for Parkinson’s UK.
The trophy was first sold on eBay in aid of the Dean Puplett Appeal but its kindhearted new owner gave it to be auctioned again for another good cause.
An auction for a date with Luke is still running on facebook page, ‘Luke A All The Way’.
